If last week was long, this week was craaazy. Thankfully my husband has been able to take a long vacation from work (he works in the restaurant/hospitality industry) and that has freed me up to continue my marketing job from my little home office corner. But that's all easier said than done. As I'm sitting in front of my computer, I can still hear my toddler cry and I feel the need to fix it. My five year-old whines and I feel the need to fix it. My husband can't seem to load the dishwasher correctly and I feel the need to fix it. There's a lot going on here, and much like the rest of society, I'm learning how to work and deal at the same time. And that's left little time to do one of the things I like most: this blog.
But the thing is, I feel incomplete if I don't post at least one thing a week. And incomplete is definitely not a thing any of us need to be feeling right now. So for today, I’m just going to leave you with something I recently saw and loved. I've applauded Frida Mom in a previous post and I'm going to do it again for creating this ingenious balloon. Because why hasn't anyone thought of this before? When a new life comes into this world, we always feel the need to deliver our congratulations in the form of mylar to the baby and I'm sorry, but what did he/she do again? "It's a boy" and "It's a girl" sentiments have had their moment. Not only do they state the obvious (in most cases), they fail to give credit where credit is most certainly due: mom. Until now:
When you bring home a baby, you bring home a mom too. Show her she's appreciated - because after all, she's the one that did all the hard work. Pro tip: We recommend accompanying this with a thoughtful push present.
Thank you, Frida Mom, for rocking this new mom thing and giving us something we didn't even know we needed. Again. And to all who know someone who is expecting in the near future, please procure this ballon for her. She needs it.
