Another crazy week comes to a close. My mind is mud. Yes, it's safe to say there's not much going on upstairs right but his one random, murky thought.
I wish I could draw.
And not just because I’m stuck in quarantine and looking for things to do. There’s pleeenty to do around these chaotic, kid-infested parts. No, my lack of ability in the drawing department is something I’ve lamented long before the ‘rona virus came to town. While other people in my family can put pen to paper and make something interesting, I just didn’t get that gene. I’ve never even advanced past my 3rd grade aptitude for houses, trees and people. Please see below.

I think this is I why I love @karacandraw so much. Well, one of the reasons. Yes, she’s a badass drawer. But she also conveys the subtle moments of mom life—the good, the bad and the ugly— like a lovely little boss. From sleep regression to YouTube video fails to having to answer your kid’s endless supply of “why’s”, even the nasty moments look fucking cute by her hand. Scrolling through her Instagram is like reading and adorable adult picture book, and you don’t even care if you read it 3 times a day for 4 weeks fucking straight (I’m looking at you, Shark vs. Train).
It just might be one of the best antidotes to this so called quarantined life we’re living. Because if you’re like me, you can’t handle another horrendous headline right now. Take a break, take a look and take in a sweet moment of corona commiseration. I can’t wait to see what she’ll come up with next. ‘Cause my drawing skills sure as shit aren’t improving any time soon.
